Chances are you've heard of the Duggars, one of the largest families in the US. I was watching their reality TV show "18 Kids & Counting" and wondered if any of the children were breastfed. Considering mum Michelle seems to be perpetually pregnant and has her hands full, I thought she'd have stack of formula in her oversized pantry. Wrong! I was amazed to discover that not only has Michelle breastfed all of her children - many of them exclusively - it did not and still does not come naturally. Her list of problems reads like the index of a book: mastitis, yeast infectons, inverted nipples, toe curling pain and so on. Michelle's determination to breastfeed is quite astounding and she really is an inspiration. And she's due to do it all again when baby number 19 arrives next month.
