Our first stock of the new Hospital Pants sold out quickly and we weren't surprised at all - what a clever idea! These disposable pants (which can be washed and reused up to 10 times each) are a discreet and hygienic way to manage after birth bleeding, pre/post pregnancy incontinence and caeasarean scar healing. Designed with soft, breathable fabric, stretchy leg openings and a non 'roll-down' waistband, Hospital Pants will securely hold your maternity or incontinence pad in place. They also allow c-section scars to breathe to assist with healing. Each pack includes 3 pairs, with a free bonus 4th pair for a limited time.

Breastfeeding on TV - Packed to the Rafters
And while we are on the topic of breastfeeding and the media…the season opener of Packed to the Rafters which aired last week was a very real portrayal of the realities of breastfeeding faced by so many women. The episode touched on many aspects from breast pumps to attachment problems as well as breast refusal.
The frustration that goes hand in hand with trying to establish breastfeeding was depicted so well by the show’s writers and we applaud them for that. The episode also looked at bonding, especially in relation to Dads. It was refreshing to see such a balanced portrayal...from the exhaustion and frustration of struggling to establish breastfeeding, through the persistence of two tired parents and finally the relief of having it all come together. All up, a very honest and realistic account of the highs and lows of breastfeeding. Well done.

Reality TV or Reality Check for Kim Kardashian?
Kardashian’s outburst on Twitter after witnessing a fellow restaurant patron breastfeeding and changing her baby, has in the very least fuelled another debate on breastfeeding in public and given us all the opportunity to voice our opinions. From the outraged to those in support – Kim’s tirade proved yet again that a proportion of the public still believe breastfeeding is something that should take place behind closed (and private) doors.
Ironically, Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian doesn’t have a problem with nursing in public. On her blog, she writes that she’s nursed her son “while shopping….in dressing rooms, in my car, wherever I need to. I know that for me, I need to try to cover myself while breastfeeding so that no one snaps a picture. If this wasn’t the case, I probably wouldn’t mind as much because my son is my biggest concern. My attitude is, if someone sees a little somethin’ somethin’, don’t look if you don’t like it.” Mmmm, wise advice for her sister!
